Our commitment

Sauna Therapy Guide is committed to making its content accessible to the widest possible audience, including people who use assistive technologies. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a minimum, with AAA compliance for body text contrast ratios.

What we have built in

• Skip link: A "Skip to content" link appears on keyboard focus, allowing keyboard users to bypass navigation.
• Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements (navigation, links, buttons) are reachable and operable with a keyboard alone.
• Focus indicators: Visible focus rings use a 2px ember-colored outline with 2px offset on all focusable elements.
• Heading hierarchy: Each page has one H1, with H2, H3 used in logical order. No heading levels are skipped.
• Color contrast: Body text on the cream background achieves a contrast ratio of approximately 11:1 (AAA). We do not use color alone to convey information.
• Alt text: Informational images carry descriptive alt text. Decorative images carry empty alt attributes (alt="").
• Semantic HTML: Pages use appropriate landmark elements (header, nav, main, footer, article, section) to support screen reader navigation.
• Touch targets: All interactive elements meet the WCAG 2.5.5 recommended 44x44 pixel minimum touch target.
• Reduced motion: The site respects the prefers-reduced-motion media query and disables CSS transitions and animations when the user has requested reduced motion.
• Responsive design: The site is usable at 320px viewport width and above, and supports browser text size scaling.

Known limitations

We are a small editorial site built and maintained by one person. If you encounter any accessibility barrier, please tell us. We take these reports seriously and will address them as quickly as possible.
